What data www.alemasone.com collects, who processes it and what you can ask for.
Last updated: 10 September 2026
This page describes what data www.alemasone.com collects, who processes it and what rights you have. It is written around how the site actually works.

How the site is built #
Alemasone is a static site: pages are ready-made files, not assembled from a database on every visit. There is no members’ area, no registration, no comments, no newsletter and no forms to fill in. Reading the articles requires no data from you.
The data below is collected by the third-party services the site uses, not by me directly.
Server logs #
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). Like any web server, it automatically records IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, browser type and operating system.
This is used to deliver pages, protect the site from abuse and attacks, and diagnose faults. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Visit statistics — Google Analytics 4 #
I use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) to see how many people read the site, which articles and from which countries. Analytics sets cookies and collects a truncated IP address, the browsing path, browser language and device type.
I don’t use it to identify individuals and I don’t combine it with other data. Legal basis: consent.
You can opt out across all sites by installing Google’s browser add-on.
Advertising — Google AdSense #
The site is funded through Google AdSense (Google Ireland Ltd.). Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads, measure their performance and avoid showing you the same one repeatedly.
If you have consented, ads may be personalised — chosen from interests inferred partly from other sites. If you have not, you will see non-personalised ads, chosen from the page content and your approximate location.

- To change your preferences: myadcenter.google.com
Legal basis: consent.
Fonts #
The site’s typeface (Manrope) is loaded from Google Fonts servers. To deliver the file, your IP address reaches Google. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the visual rendering of the pages.
If you write to me #
If you write to [email protected], your address and the content of your message are processed to reply and, where needed, to keep a record of the matter. I don’t use them for anything else and I don’t pass them on.
Cookies #
The site sets no cookies of its own. Any cookies you find come from Google Analytics and Google AdSense, described above.
You can delete or block them in your browser settings — search for “cookies” in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. Blocking them all does not stop you reading the site: no feature depends on cookies.
Transfers outside the European Union #
Google and Cloudflare are US companies and may process data outside the European Economic Area. Transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the United States and, where needed, on standard contractual clauses.
How long #
Server logs are kept for as long as security requires, typically a few weeks. Analytics data is kept according to Google’s default setting (14 months). Emails stay in the mailbox while the matter is open, then are archived or deleted.
Your rights #
At any time you can ask to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent already given. Write to [email protected].
If you believe the processing is unlawful, you can complain to the supervisory authority in your country; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Minors #
The site is not aimed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you notice that it has, write to me and I will remove it.
Links to other sites #
Articles link to sites I don’t run. Once you leave here, that site’s privacy policy applies, not this one.
Changes #
If the site changes — one service more, one less — I update this page and the date at the top.
