About me
Alessandro Masone: who I am, what I write about on Alemasone and how the site is funded.
My name is Alessandro Masone and Alemasone is my site.
I write about technology: practical guides to Windows, macOS and Linux, software and tools, gaming, hardware, security and privacy, development. Things I have tried myself, explained in the order you actually need to do them.
How I work #
An article almost always starts from a problem I ran into. I try it, check that it works, and only then write it up. When a program changes or a step stops being valid, I go back and update the article: the revision date is shown under the title.
The site is in six languages — Italian, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and German — and I look after all of it myself, from the writing to the technical side.
How the site is funded #
Through advertising, and through donations from people who find what I publish useful. No content is sponsored: if that ever changes, you will find it stated in the article.
