Minecraft mods are the best way to instill new life in the game.
Minecraft vanilla is limitless, to some point. Although you can build whatever you want, you are still bound to the features programmed in the game. Official updates usually add very new interesting content, but there are only one or two a year. Fortunately, you can turn to the many community developers, since the ocean of Minecraft mods is really endless.
Whether you are looking for small improvements in life, new machines to build or even whole new dimensions, you can find a mod suitable for your needs.
JourneyMap

When you've spent a lot of time in your Minecraft world, it can start to look like a second home, but with huge worlds to explore and all sorts of strange things to discover, it can be difficult to keep track of everything alone with memory. That's where the minippa's mods come in. At the moment, JourneyMap is the best choice, as it allows you to see a full map of the whole world you have explored. Also, you can mark positions with waypoints so you never miss out.
Just Enough Items

If you're about to immerse yourself in the modding, there are a series of mods that are essential to simplify your life. Optifine is a famous hack that offers many optimization options, helping your game to run smoother on PC with low specifications. However, Just Enough Items is much more important, as it gives you a simple overview of the probably hundreds of new blocks and objects added by all your mods. Not only that, but it allows you to view the recipes of crafting and using everything: it is an essential tool.
Pixelmon Generations

If you like Minecraft and at the same time you are a fan of Pokémon, what would happen if the two experiences could somehow intersect? If this idea fascinates you, then immediately install Pixelmon Generations. This mod integrates the entire Pokédex into Minecraft, allowing you to create Pokéball, capture Pokémon, challenge gyms and do much more. In addition, the development team is committed to regularly updating the mod, so every time a new generation of Pokémon is released, you can be sure they will be added quickly.
Cobblemon

Pixelmon is fantastic and has been around for a long time, but because of several teams that have worked on us over the years, it can be a bit dispersive and inconsistent, both in terms of Pokémon design and mechanics. Cobblemon is a new mod that tries to create the entire Pokédex entirely in a style suitable for Minecraft, with all the details that are added over time. If you're not a Pixelmon fan, but you still want more Pokémon in your Minecraft, this could be the right mod for you.
Vault Hunters

Exploring and plundering caves and dungeons in Minecraft can become quite boring. Even the invincible boss Warden stops being frightening once you learn how to deal with it. If you are looking for a much more exciting adventure, then Vault Hunters will keep you busy for a long time. Increases the default difficulty of the game and allows you to enter dungeons generated procedurally with rare barrels, swarms of difficult enemies and bosses. It has that quality of “still a race” that all good roguelike have and will test even the most skilled fighters.
Galacti

The ability to go into space improves any game, and this mod allows players to do it for years. Advanced Rocketry is a bit more in-depth in the construction of rockets, but if you just want to explore other worlds, then GalactiCraft is the best choice. Explore new and strange worlds, meet and trade with alien villages and establish an intergalactic empire made of adorable blocks.
Project

A reboot of the classic Equivalent Exchange mods, Project E allows you to live a fantasy of power to generate diamonds from nothing. It perfectly captures the feeling of progression while transforming your first diamonds into a Philosophical Stone that you can then use to slowly grow your empire until you are flying around equipped with Red Materia as a real virtual god of your world.
Twilight Forest

Twilight Forest is one of the few mods from the beginning of the Minecraft modding that still has an actively committed team, so it is not surprising that it has become one of the best and most extensive mods of all time. Boss, minerals, woods, biomes, dungeon, whatever you want, Twilight Forest has it. If you're looking for that kind of mod you can explore forever, that's what you need to install.
Applied Energistics 2

Important words in the title of a mod can only mean one thing: complex machines. If you have ever seen a computer storage system in Minecraft, it is likely that it was created by this mod. Using a blend of technology, botany and even a little alchemy, Applied Energistics will make sure you never have to use the trunks again. Instead, you can transform all your blocks and objects into data stored on a central server and accessible from anywhere. This is what we imagine the world will be when we finally reach 9G wireless connections.
Create

While many mods add new technologies, most of them consist of placing a single block that will do all the work for you. Create is a bit more chaotic, but much more interesting. Rather than a single block, each machine is a massive set of gears, wheels, conveyors, tubes and much more. You can even create natural-size railway networks that perform a variety of different tasks. If you ever wanted to create a Steampunk world with factories that produce great and small wonders, this is the perfect mod for you.
Storage Drawers

Imagining the huge amounts of items you will collect in any world of Minecraft, let alone in a hack, is a challenging challenge and players have developed all kinds of storage systems. However, if you want a practical and attractive design option, Storage Drawers is the right choice for you. With great flexibility, these drawers can store thousands of objects, allowing you to take them and put them in a few simple clicks. There are no inventory screens with which to waste time, making it quick and easy. In addition, having a huge wall of drawers showing all objects looks fantastic.
Croptopia

Creating a farm in your Minecraft world is something like a “configure and forget” agreement. Unless you're trying to diversify your diet in Minecraft, it's likely that you simply have a fence of cows that occasionally slaughters to get a stack of meat. Croptopia makes agriculture a more engaging part of the game, adding 58 new crops on the ground, 26 new fruit trees and over 250 recipes of things you can cook.
Oh The Biomes You'll Go

For a long time, Biome O’ Plenty was the only biome mod of Minecraft worthy of note, but with the change in the generation of the world in updating Caves & Cliffs, the possibility of much larger and wilder biomes than those never provided by O’ Plenty opens. Get on stage Oh The Biomes You’ll Go, with a name that promises adventures and new biomes that keep the promise. Whether you want colorful forests of flowers, imposing hot springs or wild mountains, OTBYG is the new first biome mod.
Macaw’s Collection

Macaw has made several mods over the years that add new aesthetics to your world, and it is at your discretion to decide which to include. With this collection, you can add more realistic roofs, doors, windows, bridges and all sorts of furniture to your world, offering you more building options for your greatest creations.
Alex’s Mobs

Minecraft updates are gradually adding official versions of more and more animals, but this is the perfect mod if you want everyone to be added at once. It’s not just real animals, but many fantasy creatures are added with Alex’s Mobs, like a hundredfold that will attack you in the caves or a drop bear that wanders around the Nether. It can be terrifying, but it is worth it for a more vibrant world.
Tinkers Construct

Tinkers is a pretty dated mod at this point, but it is still one of the best mods for the tools available. Once again, you will build some simple structures to forge parts of the tools using different materials. All these materials provide you with tool changers that you will eventually realize, and you can upgrade it by using it to add additional modifiers or increase its statistics. No other mod deepens so much the creation of tools, so it is worth trying it.
Chisel

Minecraft is a game focused on aesthetics, and when you are building a huge wall of a castle, having a repetitive texture may seem quite boring. You can implement other types of blocks to vary, but the Chisel mod offers you dozens of variations of the same block. With this, you can even make something as simple as a wooden floor more interesting simply by changing the motifs on the tiles.
Mekanism

Another great technology mod for Minecraft, Mekanism takes what mod most dated as IndustrialCraft and BuildCraft have started and increases complexity at ridiculous levels. Even if it is not visually striking as something like Create, you can chain machines to virtually automate every process in Minecraft.
Nova Prospekt Armory

A new mod based on Immersive Engineering allows you to create some of the weapons and vehicles of Half-Life games. These include some standard guns such as AK-47, but also more creative things like Gluon Gun and Tau Cannon.
No Cubes

Well, we have officially done it: Minecraft's mods have become so absurd that now there is even one that completely removes the basic premise of Minecraft. The world based on blocks has disappeared and everything has been embossedly flattened. It looks extremely strange and probably not worth playing beyond the novelty it dissipates, but it is interesting to see how your beloved worlds appear with this mod installed.
